This door mat is large & in charge! The large size is perfect and the dimensions matched exactly to what was listed online and was super easy to lay out and after a day or so it flattened itself right out. Durability so far has been exceptional and it’s been holding up really well to the daily foot traffic. This door mat is also really comfortable to step on while being barefoot and vacuuming it is also a breeze. The non slip backing works really well and it stays in place on top of the concrete floor this sits on. Overall I found a great value for the money with this door mat and I would absolutely recommend it.
I ordered this mat for my outdoor patio and the first thing I noticed was how thick and weighty it felt. It has the right balance of flexibility and sturdiness and it doesn’t curl at the edges or slip around during wet or windy conditions. The textured surface has deep grooves and raised patterns that effectively removes mud from shoes while the waterproof rubber material prevents any water from soaking through which makes it ideal for rainy or snowy conditions. And unlike fabric mats that absorb moisture, cleaning is very simple with a quick shake or rinse. I also like how the grey color is not only modern and attractive, but it also hides dirt and scuffs which makes it appear fresh.Because of its heavy duty construction, this door mat stands up well to weather conditions, traps dirt and moisture effectively, and is very easy to clean which makes it an excellent value. Recommended for anyone looking for a long lasting, low maintenance, and high performing door mat.
This mat has worked out great so far! I ordered it for our laundry room, which leads into the garage, also known as the highway my dogs take in and out of the house all day long. My plan was to get something large and commercial grade to help stop the mess before it made its grand entrance into the rest of the house. However, the mat hasn’t quite made it to its permanent home yet because my dogs have decided it’s their new favorite lounge spot right by the front door. I never thought I’d say this, but the mat is actually too big for that space. So, as soon as I finish deep cleaning my laundry room, it’ll be heading to its intended spot (assuming I can convince the dogs to give it up).It really does seem to help keep grass and dirt out of the main areas of the house. As much as I tell everyone we’re a shoe-free household, people still somehow forget that rule, but I’ve noticed a lot less debris getting tracked inside.Cleanup is super easy, too. Normally I’d just shake out a smaller mat outside, but this one’s way too big for that. Thankfully, a quick vacuum does the trick. The biggest surprise, though? It’s actually soft on bare feet! For something that’s “commercial grade,” you don’t expect comfort, I mean, what business lets people walk in barefoot? But this mat feels nice whether I’m in shoes, socks, or just padding around. And apparently, my dogs agree, since they’ve turned it into their official people-watching and napping spot whenever there’s a breeze coming through the screen.
We have a couple of these types of mats in our home, using them by the front door, the back slider, and a really long one across the kitchen. We have pets who shed a lot and track in leaves, grass, and water, and we think these types of industrial mats are the best for trying to maintain all the hair and stuff that comes with having shedding pets. They are easy to clean and vacuum, and blend into the floor without being visually stimulating. This is a nice quality mat, on par with our commercial grade catalog mats that we ordered through my husband's employer. The grey loom part is hefty and will do a good job catching dirt and leaves. The back is coated with rubber/poly coating, which is adequately thick. These types of mats hold up wonderfully in a shop or garage setting and they clean up great with both power washing or using a water-tank rug cleaning machine (we have done both.) They dry out properly, leaving no moisture, mold, or residue behind, and are extremely durable. This ribbed version will perform well in a high traffic area that brings in mud or leaves. It is also grippy enough that it will not slide around the floor easily. It arrived nicely packaged and in a matching size box, undamaged.*SIZING*: The details regarding the sizing can be cleaned up a little. The description says 58" x 34," which does not match up to the actual measurement of 59.25" x 35.875" when measuring edge to edge. I am assuming that the discrepancy comes from the fact that the manufacturer is not including the rubber edging/frame that goes all the way around the grey part of the mat, although I do not understand why that part of the mat would not be included in the precise measurement because if someone was looking for exact measurements to fit perfectly in a specific space, this mat would be just a hair too big, because obviously the rubber edge takes up some space too. The paper that came with it says it is 3' x 5' (which is 36" x 60"), the Amazon description says it is 58" x 34", and my measurements were different from both of those, so which is it? But if "perfect sizing" is irrelevant to you, this is a great mat.
This rug worked great outside my door on my back patio. It’s the perfect sickness and it had a neutral smell. I didn’t notice the smell. It worked really well in helping us not track as much inside the house, which is great because my kids have a sandbox on the back patio. It felt nice and soft and the color is nice as well. The only thing is when I tried to shake out the rug the particles would not come off. I had to vacuum it instead, which is a bit of a pain. All in all this is a nice rug and looks great and is nice quality.
Bought for main entrance to house. Getting ready for winter weather. I was so excited to see how it was going to look
4ftx8ft .navy blue...ish. Its not a super thin matt. It has made it through a few storms and VERY windy days without blowing up or folding over. Im on the 3rd floor so wind can get under it. It does have a solid rubber back so it is leak proof. Keeps my granddaughter from dropping or spilling things on my neighbors AND from getting splinters in her feet.
Fantastic mat! Arrived quick and on time. The red color is rich and adds the perfect pop to my entryway. It is durable and does a great job of catching dirt. Even after multiple uses it still looks brand new. So glad we chose this mat!
I love the thick, sturdy rug material and actually use the burgundy rug indoors as a runner in a high-traffic area. The first rug I ordered had a factory defect with the rubber, but when I brought it to the store's attention they promptly refunded the cost and replaced it and the rubber was fine.
When I first got the Max Mattes black outdoor mat, I wasn’t expecting to be so impressed by something as seemingly simple as, well…a mat. But here I am, writing a long review about it because it genuinely deserves some attention. Right out of the box, you can tell it’s not just any regular mat—it’s thick, dense, and has this solid weight to it that makes it clear it’s built to last. It doesn’t have that flimsy rubber feel that curls up at the edges or slides around every time someone steps on it. This thing stays put. It’s made of some kind of durable rubber base combined with a really sturdy, almost bristly brush-like material on the surface. The combination creates this perfect balance of toughness and functionality. When you step on it, there’s this satisfying resistance under your feet, and you can literally feel it scraping off every bit of dirt, dust, and whatever else you’ve managed to collect on your shoes throughout the day. And despite being so effective, it doesn’t feel abrasive or rough when walking on it barefoot. One of the things I noticed right away is how well it handles outdoor conditions. I’ve got it set up by the back door, which sees a fair amount of foot traffic, weather exposure, and occasional puddles when it rains. But this mat doesn’t seem to care. Rainwater drains off efficiently, and it doesn’t get soggy or waterlogged like some mats do. It also doesn’t get that weird mildew smell after being wet for a while, which I’ve encountered with other mats in the past. And dirt doesn’t seem to embed itself deeply into the fibers, so a quick shake or rinse with a hose is usually enough to get it looking fresh again. The size is another big win here. It’s got ample coverage, giving plenty of space to comfortably wipe your feet without having to awkwardly shuffle around to hit the right spot. Whether it’s muddy boots, dusty sneakers, or just a quick step in bare feet, this mat takes it all in stride.I also appreciate the overall aesthetic of it. It’s a sleek black, which blends nicely into almost any setting without standing out too much. It doesn’t have any unnecessary patterns or over-the-top designs; it’s just a clean, professional-looking mat that does its job incredibly well. And while it feels very commercial-grade—like something you’d see at the entrance of an office building or a busy store—I love that it fits seamlessly into a home environment too. It feels like it was designed to handle both heavy-duty traffic and casual home use with equal efficiency. And honestly, there’s a certain peace of mind in knowing that it’s not going to start falling apart after a season or two.All in all, it’s clear that Max Mattes wasn’t messing around with this product. It feels premium, looks solid, and performs even better than I expected. If you’re tired of mats that slide, curl, fray, or just plain don’t work, this one is worth every penny. It’s the kind of mat that makes you realize how often we underestimate something as simple as a doormat—until you finally get one that actually does what it’s supposed to do.
I am really impressed by the quality and look of this rug. It absorbs so well and my floors don't get dirty. It fits perfectly at my side door entrance where foot traffic is heavier. I would definitely recommend this and will definitely purchase again in the future!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I just bought two extra large commercial floor mats (3x5) heavy duty. I opened one up and the edge was all wrinkled and a thinner rubber edge than I expected. I put it out on the porch in the sun yesterday to see if it would lie flat, but it looks the same today. The old mat I have has a heavier, thicker rubber edge that lies flat. I need a flat mat with a rubber edge that you won't trip over. I emailed the email on the package and the email bounced back. Then I called the number on the package and the mail box was full.
This is a really nice indoor/outdoor mat. I wanted it for our walkout basement doorway because we have small wind “tornadoes” that suck in leaves and dirt every time the door is opened. This is fantastic because it’s wide enough and long enough to cover a huge portion and catch all the debris that comes inside. It’s also able to catch dirt carried in on shoe bottoms due to its “rough” texture which is another positive feature. It’s not super thick which a plus because the door can open freely over it. It feels heavyweight and durable which allows it to keep its shape once put down. We have laminate flooring and this hasn’t budged since we put it down. I’m so happy with this, and highly recommend it - I may order a second one to place outside the doorway, since it allows for quick water drainage.
This rubber mat is absolutely perfect for my garage. It’s generously sized and built to last, providing a durable barrier that has finally helped me stop tracking so much dirt into my detached garage. Not only does it look clean and tidy, but it’s also incredibly easy to clean—just a quick wipe or rinse, and it’s good as new.A practical and attractive addition that’s made a noticeable difference in keeping my garage neat and dirt-free.
This rug is great! It has a low profile to fit under doors and has a non-slip backing. Water will not leak through it. I've not decided for sure where I will use it. I have laminate floors and am leery of using this type of backing on them, so I will probably use it in the garage either by the entry door or over by our hot tub, which I think would be a perfect place for it. The cement floor is quite cold on the feet when you get out of it in the winter! The topping of the rug is substantial, but the rubber part is thinner than I expected. I would not call it heavy duty. It is for use either inside or outside, and the material on the top is very good for removing dirt and mud from your shoes.
I ordered this mat for our garage to house entry to stop tracking in dirt. This rug is large, durable, and pretty easy to clean. The mat is rubber backed so it doesn’t slide easily. It takes up a good length of the entry so it is enough to collect any dirt that will come off of shoes. For vacuuming, I just have to make a few passes for the vacuum to untrap any of the larger debris the mat collects.Recommend!
